Journalism, with a Focus on People & Places.

While my journalism work spans across various publications, culture is the central theme that connects all stories.

I covered the COVID-19 crisis in New York City, interviewing Australians and locals about their experiences, for the Adelaide Advertiser’s SA Weekend Magazine.

I wrote a two-part series about the wine culture in Adelaide for Food&Wine and Travel+Leisure.

I was commissioned to give a local’s insight into Adelaide for Singapore Airline’s in-flight magazine, SilverKris – to celebrate the additional flight routes to South Australia.

In a personal feature story, I explored the important relationship between client work and art for freelancers, for London’s freelance magazine, Underpinned.

I write for trade and corporate publications, as well as support my clients with editorial requirements.

Freelance Journalist, Adelaide & Globally.

As a trained journalist, I’m always ready to pick up the phone to step up to the scene for a good story. I’m more interested in stories that encourage independent thinking, poses questions, and sparks new possibilities (rather than simply entertaining and educating). Good writing should do both.

If you’re looking for a freelance journalist to tell your story with integrity, I can help with:

  • Feature stories
  • Thinkipieces & op-eds
  • Personal essays
  • Interviews & profile pieces
  • Reviews
  • News reporting
  • Brand journalism
  • Sponsored content.

I’m happy to chat about one-off pieces or regular columns. Browse my portfolio clips and get in touch.
