With a fascination for culture, I shine light on the ways in which being in the world affects people, and vice versa. Writing doesn’t just interrogate culture, it shapes it. A keen observer of humans, societies and nations, my words challenge perceptions and bridge cultures.
I ignite new ways of thinking and give voice to those who don’t have the words.
With gentle strokes of poeticism, wrapped in a conversational, ‘she’s talking to me’ style, my words help to shape the world.
My stories are immersed in culture, society, travel, immigration, LGBTQ, and freelancing… reading in-between the lines of what we see.
I covered the COVID-19 crisis in New York City, interviewing Australians and locals about their experiences, as well as the post-2020 U.S. election, for the Adelaide Advertiser’s SA Weekend Magazine. I wrote a two-part series about the wine culture in Adelaide for Food&Wine and Travel+Leisure.
I was commissioned to give a local’s insight into Adelaide for Singapore Airline’s in-flight magazine, SilverKris – to celebrate the additional flight routes to South Australia.
I explored the important relationship between client work and art for freelancers, for London’s freelance magazine, Underpinned, and the tricky dynamic between identity, and self-worth, finances.
I also write for trade and corporate publications, as well as support my clients with branded journalism support.
