I’m a cultural commentator and travel journalist, with an affinity for stories that capture the essence of peoples and places. I believe in the power of good journalism to challenge perceptions, alter worldviews, and bridge gaps between cultures.

As a cultural observer, I’m fascinated by the relationship between people and the world. This often leads me to other interesting, abstract stories that belong in categories such as sub-cultures, migration, cities, psychology, philosophy, LGBT, and freelancing.

I work across both print and online, with bylines in publications across the world – Australia, America, the UK, and Asia. From thinkpieces and op-eds that cover timely events from a cultural standpoint, to feature stories and personal essays that explore an important theme that needs to be told, I work across a range of story styles.

With an undergraduate degree in public relations and postgraduate in journalism, I understand both sides of the media coin.
